jira Integrate JIRA with Atatus

JIRA is an issue tracking system built by the Atlassian team.

Setup

  1. Go to Alerting » Notification Channels » Create a new notification channel, Select a channel type as JIRA.

  2. Enter the URL of your JIRA account. Example: https://myaccount.atlassian.net

  3. Enter your email address (or) username and API Key (password - in case if it is older version) in the respective text box.

  4. Copy and paste the Project Key from your JIRA projects list. Then copy specific project key in your project. Example, https://myaccount.atlassian.net/jira/projects

  5. Enter the issue type. It can either be Task, Bug, Improvement, Epic or New Feature. By default, the issue type is Task.

  6. Click on the Create channel button when you're done.

JIRA is now successfully integrated with Atatus. You can start tracking the alerts.

How to Use

  1. After you set up the integration, you'll notice Notification channels in Create alert policy tab. This will allow you to select JIRA as a notification channel for that particular alert policy.

  2. Once the alert is created, you will see the alerts in your JIRA project.
