The Redis integration allows you to monitor your Redis server with the Atatus Infrastructure Agent. The agent connects to Redis to read its metrics and picks up the Redis logs from the same configuration file. Use this integration to:
  • Track memory usage and the memory fragmentation ratio.
  • Monitor client connections, blocked clients, and rejected connections.
  • Observe keyspace hits and misses, evicted keys, and commands processed.
  • Check replication and persistence status.
  • Collect Redis server logs and slow logs.

Setup

No additional installation is required. The Redis integration is bundled with the Atatus Infrastructure Agent.

Configuration

Metrics

Copy the Redis example configuration file that ships with the agent:
Then add the following configuration to /etc/atatus-infra-agent/conf.d/redis.d/redis.yml:
Check these before you save:
  • hosts must be the address and port Redis listens on. 6379 is the default Redis port.
  • password is only needed if your Redis server uses requirepass. Uncomment the line and set your password.

Logs

Logs are configured in the same file as metrics. First, turn on log collection for the agent in /etc/atatus-infra-agent/atatus.yml:
Then add a logs section to /etc/atatus-infra-agent/conf.d/redis.d/redis.yml. The two default types pick up the standard Redis log paths:
If your logs are in a different location, replace the two default types with your own paths:
Redis Logs Monitoring covers the log options in more detail.

Verify Metrics

You can verify that Redis is reachable from the agent host with redis-cli:
A healthy server replies with PONG. Add -a <PASSWORD> if your Redis server uses a password.

Restart the Agent

After configuration, restart the Atatus Infrastructure Agent:

These are the metrics the integration collects from Redis:
