What You Can Do With Mobile Monitoring
1. Understand application performance on real devices- Measure application start time, screen (view) load time, and rendering performance.
- See how your screens and network requests behave across devices, OS versions, and regions.
- Identify the slowest screens and the most error-prone flows in your application.
- Automatically capture taps, scrolls, and swipes as user actions.
- Follow a user’s journey across screens to reproduce and understand issues.
- Correlate user actions with the views and resources they trigger.
- Track handled and unhandled errors with full context.
- Capture crashes with symbolicated stack traces to pinpoint the exact line of code.
- Group similar errors together and see how many users each one affects.
- Track the latency, status, and size of every network request your app makes.
- Connect front-end requests to your back-end traces when you also run Atatus APM.
- Send structured logs from your app to Atatus with custom attributes and tags.
- Correlate logs with the RUM session and view in which they occurred.
- Filter and group logs to debug issues faster.
How It Works
You add the Atatus mobile SDK to your application and initialize it with a License Key from your Atatus dashboard. Once initialized, you enable the features you need: RUM, log collection, and tracing. The SDK automatically collects views, actions, resources, errors, crashes, logs, and traces and sends them to Atatus, where the data is aggregated into dashboards and an explorer you can query. The License Key is safe to embed in client-side code. Do not use your account API key in a mobile application, because it would be exposed in the application’s byte code.
