You can remove tracing for a single coding agent or remove everything, including the virtual environment and your stored credentials. This page covers both, plus how to check the removal worked.

Turn tracing off without uninstalling

If you only want to stop sending traces, you do not need to uninstall. Set one variable:
The hooks still fire but nothing is sent. This is the quickest way to pause tracing for a session or while debugging something unrelated.

Remove one tool

Pass uninstall followed by the tool name. This removes the hook entries from that tool’s config file and leaves everything else in place:
Use the same argument you installed with: antigravity, claude, codex, cursor, devin, gemini, copilot, kiro, opencode, or omp. Your license key, project name, and any other tools stay configured, so this is the right choice when you are only dropping one tool.

Remove everything

Pass uninstall with no tool name for a full wipe. This removes the virtual environment, the installed package, and the shared configuration:
A full wipe deletes ~/.atatus/harness/config.json, which holds your license key and project name. Remove the individual tools first if you want to keep that configuration for a later reinstall.

On Windows

Download the batch installer and pass the same arguments:

Confirm the removal

Uninstalling edits the tool’s own configuration file, so check that the hook entries are gone. The file to look at depends on the tool: Searching the file for atatus should return nothing after a successful uninstall.
For opencode and omp the hook is a file rather than an entry in a config file, so uninstalling deletes the file. For omp, the path is also removed from the extensions array in ~/.omp/agent/settings.json, so check both.

Remove the Claude Code plugin

If you installed tracing through the Claude Code plugin marketplace rather than the standalone package, remove it with the plugin commands instead:

What is left behind

A full wipe removes the installation directory, but two things remain:
  • Traces already sent to Atatus. These follow your account’s data retention settings. To remove a project entirely, delete it from the Atatus dashboard.
  • Environment variables you set yourself. If you exported any ATATUS_ variables in a shell profile, remove them by hand.
