Integrate Linear with Atatus

Linear is an issue tracking tool built for high-performance software teams. With the Atatus integration, you can quickly turn exceptions, errors, and alert incidents into Linear issues with full context.

Setup

  1. Generate an API Key in Linear:
    • In Linear, go to Settings » Account » Security & API.
    • Under Personal API keys, generate a new API key and copy it.
  2. Configure Linear in Atatus:
    • In Atatus, navigate to project Settings » Ticketing Integrations » Linear (or Alerting » Notification Channels » Create a new notification channel and choose Linear).
    • Paste your API Key.
    • Select your Team and default Priority or State for new issues.
    • Click Save (or Create channel).
Linear is now integrated with Atatus.

How to Use

  1. From the Error details page: On any error page, click the Linear button to create a new issue pre-filled with error title, stack trace, and occurrence metadata.
  2. From Alert Policies: Add Linear as a notification channel to your alert policies to automatically file an issue whenever a critical incident opens.
